About

I completed both my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and my Master of Social Work degrees from Adelphi University. Before opening my psychotherapy practice, I spent over a decade providing psychotherapy and behavioral health services to adults, adolescents and children in various community mental health settings. In addition, I have received postgraduate training in various therapeutic modalities. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York.

My approach to therapy depends upon my client’s needs and preferences. I find that much of the time people feel ready to make a change but don’t know how. I believe that psychotherapy is about working together to get to know yourself better, so that you can make changes that will bring about balance in your life and improve your relationships with others. Sometimes the work focuses on uncovering and exploring patterns that are making people feel stuck, other times it is focused on assisting people to develop healthier ways of coping with life’s stressors.
